Richard Hawkins

Richard Hawkins, Esq. is a seasoned attorney currently serving at Friend & Wenzel, LLC since February 2022 and holding multiple public defender and legal positions in municipal roles since January 2021, including Land Use Board Attorney for the Borough of Roselle Park and Zoning Board Attorney for the City of Linden. Hawkins has prior experience as an Associate Attorney at Garces, Grabler & LeBrocq and The Choi Law Group, LLC, as well as a brief stint as an Attorney at The Law Offices of Matthew M. McDowell. Early in the legal career, Hawkins worked as a Law Clerk at the Superior Court of New Jersey and as a Legal Assistant at the United States Attorney's Office, where duties included extensive legal research and administrative responsibilities. Hawkins earned a Doctor of Law (JD) from Rutgers University School of Law - Newark and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a Marketing concentration from Seton Hall University.
