Benjamin Bokser

Benjamin Bokser is a skilled roboticist with significant experience in mechanical and mechatronics engineering. Currently working at The AI Institute since March 2023, Benjamin previously contributed as a Graduate Student Researcher at the Robotic Exploration Lab at Carnegie Mellon University, leading mechanical, electrical, software, and controls efforts on the REx Hopper project. Prior roles include Robotics/Mechatronics Research Engineer at Liberating Technologies, where a novel prosthetic foot mechanism design was developed, and as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at CCNY, where a winning proposal for a hip and back exoskeleton was crafted. Earlier engineering roles included work on ergonomic mobility devices, airplane control systems verification, and leading a student team in designing a commercial window cleaning robot. Benjamin holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the Grove School of Engineering at the City College of New York.
