Julien Marcel has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Julien started their career at Thomson, where they held positions as the Corporate Audit Manager Europe-Asia and E-business B2C Manager. Julien later joined Screenvision Media, serving as the Chairman and CEO - Europe, and also worked as the Head of European Sales and Business Development. Marcel then moved on to Premier Retail Networks, where they worked as the VP in charge of Europe LatAm Asia business development. Julien founded their own company, CinéMarcel, where they served as the Founder and CEO, offering consulting activities and marketing services for movie theaters. Marcel also worked at The Boxoffice Company (Webedia) as the Chief Executive Officer and CEO of Boxoffice Media. Julien co-founded and was the CEO of Côté Ciné Group, which became France's leading player in cinema marketing and technology services. Marcel also served as the Board Advisor at A la Française. Currently, they are the Directeur général AlloCiné / The Boxoffice Company at Webedia.

Julien Marcel completed their education with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from ESSEC Business School in 1998. Before that, they obtained a Master's degree in Public Policy from Sciences Po, where they specialized in Public Policy. Julien also had a visiting program at Georgetown University in 1995, focusing on Public Policy. Julien'searlier education includes a Baccalaureat in Litterature & Maths from Lycée Hoche, covering the years from 1990 to 1993.
