Amber Johnson

Amber Johnson's work experience starts in 2003 as a Staff Auditor at Hood & Strong, LLP. Amber then worked as a Senior Accountant at Marin Country Day School from 2005 to 2008, where they managed school billings and led a project to improve billing procedures. From 2008 to 2014, Amber worked at Working Assets/CREDO Mobile, first as an Accounting Manager and then as a Controller. In this role, they oversaw a $100M budget and collaborated with the CFO on financial forecasting. Amber also partnered with the Information Systems Department to develop the company's billing system. From 2014 to 2016, they worked at Kimpton Hotel & Restaurant Group, first as an Accounting Manager, then as the Director of Corporate Accounting, and finally as the Senior Director of Corporate Accounting. In these roles, they managed various accounting functions and oversaw a corporate accounting team. Lastly, since 2016, Amber has been working at The Branson School as the Controller and later as the Director of Finance. In this position, they collaborated with the Board of Directors and senior leadership to develop financial plans, implemented new accounting software and platforms, and managed a team in overseeing a $23M operating budget.

Amber Johnson attended The University of Iowa Tippie College of Business from 1999 to 2003, where they obtained a degree in Accounting and Finance. Amber also completed the NBOA Leadership Academy, offered by the National Business Officers Association, in the year 2023.
