Alyssa Harriston

Attorney, Criminal Defense Practice at The Bronx Defenders

Alyssa (she/her/hers) graduated cum laude with a J.D. from Roger Williams University School of Law. During law school, Alyssa was a student attorney in the Criminal Defense Clinic where she represented adults accused of committing misdemeanor offenses in Rhode Island. She was also a member of Trial Team and a participant in trial competitions, and performed pro bono work for the Federal Public Defenders - District of Delaware where she participated in a pro bono collaborative project that provides incarcerated women with general civil legal assistance. Prior to graduating, Alyssa completed the New York Bar Examination as a New York Pro Bono Scholar and spent a semester working full time as an extern with the Bronx Defenders. She also interned with the Rhode Island Public Defender's Office where she assisted adults charged with criminal offenses. Alyssa holds a Bachelor's in Psychology and Religious Studies from Transylvania University in Lexington, Kentucky.
