Nora Wallace is a dedicated legal professional with extensive experience in criminal defense and public service. Currently serving as a Staff Attorney in the Criminal Defense Practice at The Legal Aid Society since September 2022, Nora previously held the position of Assistant Deputy Public Defender at the New Jersey Office of the Public Defender from September 2021 to August 2022. Nora began as a legal assistant volunteer at UnCommon Law between September 2018 and August 2022 and has contributed as a Law Student Intern at The Legal Aid Society and a Summer Law Clerk at the Alameda County Public Defender. Other notable experiences include roles as a Law Clerk in the Capital Defense Division of the Mississippi Office of the State Public Defender and as a legal volunteer at Centro Legal de la Raza. Nora holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of California, Berkeley - School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts degree, Cum Laude, in History from Smith College, along with additional intensive language program experience in Arabic.
