About

The Bronx Defenders is a nonprofit organization that provides legal services to low-income residents of the Bronx. The organization was founded in 1997 by Robin Steinberg, a public defender who had previously worked as a judicial law clerk at the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts. The organization's leadership team also includes Princeton University-educated lawyer and civil rights activist Bryan Stevenson, who is currently a professor at Harvard Law School.
