Caroline Arkesteyn has a diverse work experience. Caroline is currently working as a Public Affairs Specialist at the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) since March 2023. Prior to that, they served as a Task Lead Project Manager II at The Building People, a federal contractor for the U.S. Department of Energy Bioenergy Technologies Office. Caroline started this role in February 2021 and their tenure is ongoing.
Caroline also gained valuable experience as a Public Policy Intern at Ever-Green Energy from November 2019 to January 2021. Caroline interned at the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) from June 2019 to August 2019.
Before their internships, Caroline was employed at Metro Waste Authority as a Business Marketing Coordinator from January 2017 to July 2018. Caroline also worked as a Communications Intern at the same company from May 2016 to January 2017.
Caroline started their professional journey as a Writing and Communications Intern at Iowa State University - College of Engineering from April 2015 to May 2016. Caroline also served as an Undergraduate Assistant at Iowa State University Honors Program from January 2015 to December 2015.
Caroline Arkesteyn attended the Humphrey School of Public Affairs from 2018 to 2020, where they obtained a Master of Public Policy degree with a focus on Science, Technology, Environmental Policy, and Communication Studies. Prior to that, they attended Iowa State University from 2013 to 2017, earning a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Environmental Science, Communication Studies, and Environmental Studies. Additionally, they obtained a certificate in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace from USF Corporate Training and Professional Education in 2021.
