Admiral James Stavridis

Admiral James Stavridis is a distinguished military leader and expert in global affairs, currently serving as a Featured Speaker at the Washington Speakers Bureau since June 2013, sharing insights on topics such as 21st Century Security and cyber challenges. Additionally, Admiral Stavridis is the Partner and Vice Chairman of Global Affairs at The Carlyle Group, a position held since June 2018, following his tenure as Dean of The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy from June 2013 to September 2018. With a 37-year career in the U.S. Navy, Admiral Stavridis held several prominent roles, including Commander of U.S. European Command and Supreme Allied Commander Europe for NATO, where Admiral James led significant military operations across multiple continents. Education includes a PhD in International Relations from The Fletcher School and a BS from the United States Naval Academy.
