Clare Copeland

Clare Copeland is a seasoned tax professional with extensive experience in international tax strategy, risk management, and policy. Currently serving as the Chief Tax Officer and Head of Tax Transformation at The Carlyle Group since 2018, Clare leads international tax initiatives for the organization's operations across global platforms and engages in key tax policy advocacy. Additionally, Clare holds a position as a Non Executive Director at Invest Europe. Previously, Clare served as Senior Vice President and Head of Tax and Structuring for Europe at American Capital, as well as Director and Head of Tax for the Private Equity Group at KPMG UK. Clare's educational background includes qualifications from ICAEW, the Chartered Institute of Taxation (CTA), and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA).
