David Lobe

David Lobe is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in private investment fund formation and management. Currently serving as Managing Director at The Carlyle Group since April 2015, David provides in-house counsel expertise. Prior to this role, David was an Executive Director at Morgan Stanley, where counsel was provided to the firm’s Real Estate Investing division from September 2010 to March 2015. Earlier in the career, David worked as an Associate at Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP from September 2006 to August 2010 and began a career as a Consultant at PwC / IBM from June 2000 to July 2003. David holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Virginia School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from the University of Virginia.
