G. Alan Beard

G. Alan Beard is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in investment management and mergers and acquisitions. Currently serving as Managing Director at The Carlyle Group since December 2009, Beard previously held the position of Partner at Goldman Sachs, where co-led the M&A Natural Resources group for nearly five years. Prior to that, a successful tenure at J.P. Morgan saw Beard rise through various roles from Associate to Managing Director over a 14-year period. Beard began a career in finance as an Analyst at Lazard. Academic qualifications include an MBA in Finance from The Wharton School, a J.D. from Yale Law School, and a degree in Business Administration with a focus on Finance and Accounting from Harvard University.
