Matthew Savino

Matthew Savino is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in investment management and leveraged finance. Currently, Matthew serves as a Managing Director at The Carlyle Group, a position held since December 2017. Prior to this role, Matthew was a Managing Director at BlackRock from September 2010 to December 2017 and held the title of Director at Barclays Capital from 2008 to October 2010. Matthew began his finance career as a Senior Vice President in the Global Leveraged Finance Group at Lehman Brothers, covering sectors such as energy, power, and healthcare from July 2004 to September 2008. Earlier professional experience includes working as an Associate at Latham & Watkins, focusing on energy and power financings, from September 2001 to July 2004. Matthew holds a Juris Doctor degree from New York University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Boston College.
