Shane Clifford

Shane Clifford is a seasoned finance professional currently serving as Managing Director and Partner, Head of Global Wealth at The Carlyle Group since July 2023. Prior to this role, Shane held various senior positions, including Senior Managing Director for Alternative Strategies at Franklin Templeton Investments from September 2018 to March 2023, and Senior Managing Director and Global Head of Corporate Strategy at EnTrustPermal from May 2016 to May 2017. Additional experience includes serving as EVP and Global Head of Business Development at Permal Asset Management and as VP at BlackRock. Shane's career also includes strategic roles at Merrill Lynch and Datamonitor. Shane holds an MBA in International Management from the Questrom School of Business, Boston University, and a Bachelor of Business Studies in Marketing from the University of Limerick.
