Muhammad Zohaib Anwar is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Simon Fraser University, specializing in the Centre for Infectious Disease Genomics and One Health (CIDGOH) since September 2020. In addition to this role, Muhammad serves as a Guest Lecturer in Bioinformatics at the BC Centre for Disease Control and is actively involved with The Carpentries as a Lesson Maintainer and Certified Instructor. Muhammad held the position of Vice Chair for the Canadian Association of Postdoctoral Scholars' website in 2021 and previously worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at The University of British Columbia and Aarhus University, where a PhD in Bioinformatics was also earned. Muhammad's expertise includes bioinformatics consulting, with experience in developing and standardizing microbial community analysis pipelines, and has held various research and ambassador roles across institutions, including mBioInform ApS and ASAPbio. Educational qualifications include a Master's and PhD in Bioinformatics from Aarhus University and a Bachelor's degree in Bioinformatics from COMSATS Institute of Information and Technology.
