Senior Vice President at Tomahawk Strategic Solutions

Senior Chief Special Warfare Operator (SEAL) Matthew Coufalik retired from the US military in 2016 after 20 years of service in the Special Operations community, including eight years at SEAL team TWO and ten years at Naval Special Warfare Development Group.

During his tenure, Senior Chief Coufalik conducted 13 combat deployments in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, Operation Iraqi Freedom, and several other missions worldwide. His many combat commendations include the Silver Star Medal, three Bronze Star Medals with combat valor, three Joint Service Commendation Medals with combat valor, two Navy and Marine Commendation Medals with combat valor, the Defense Meritorious Service Award, three Presidential Unit Citations, and numerous other joint and individual awards.

Shortly after retirement, Mr. Coufalik accepted the role of Senior Vice President of Tomahawk Strategic Solutions and is dedicated to helping both the public and private sectors better protect themselves and the communities in which they serve. Mr. Coufalik is a native of Cleveland, Ohio. He enlisted in the Navy in 1996 and graduated from Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL training in 1997. Mr. Coufalik holds a B.S. in Strategic Studies and Defense Analysis from Norwich University. He lives in Washington, DC with his wife Anne, who serves as an officer in the US State Department.
