Elizabeth Simmons is an experienced theatre artist and educator with a diverse background in teaching and performance. Currently, Simmons serves as a Theatre Artist Instructor at the Greater Hartford Academy of the Arts High School and as a Teaching Artist for both The Center for Arts Education and Brooklyn Academy of Music. With a notable tenure as Director of Education at Playhouse on Park, Simmons developed educational programming for youth, including acting and musical theatre classes. Additional experience includes acting roles, such as Blanche in Brighton Beach Memoirs at Broward Stage Door Theatre, along with previous positions as a Teaching Artist at Young Audiences New York and Special Event Coordinator at New York Kids Club. Elizabeth Simmons holds a Master of Science in Educational Theatre from The City College of New York and dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Acting from Point Park University.
