Courtney Welton-Mitchell

Courtney Welton-Mitchell currently serves as the Director of Evaluation and Research at the Center for Victims of Torture, responsible for guiding evaluation and research efforts to strengthen programs and enhance stakeholder awareness. Additionally, Courtney holds positions as an Adjunct Associate Professor and Director of the Certificate in Climate and Disaster Resilience at the Colorado School of Public Health, focusing on graduate-level education in international disasters and humanitarian response. Other roles include Research Associate at the Natural Hazards Center and consultant experiences with the International Rescue Committee and UNHCR. Courtney earned a Ph.D. in Psychology from the University of Denver and has held various academic and leadership positions in humanitarian assistance and mental health, contributing to a strong background in research, teaching, and program development.
