Andrei Mihailescu

Andrei Mihailescu is an experienced chemical engineer with a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh, obtained in 2019. Currently serving as the Operations Cost Transformation Leader at The Chemours Company since February 2021, Andrei previously held roles at The Lubrizol Corporation from May 2017 to February 2021, including Section Engineer and Chemical Engineering Co-op. As a co-op, Andrei led process improvements for anti-rust coatings and managed significant capital projects with substantial cost savings. Additional experience includes a Process Intensification Internship at RAPID (Pitt Lubrizol Laboratory) and a research assistant role at Duquesne University, focusing on computational chemistry related to vitamin D receptor interactions. Andrei's research has been presented at various academic symposiums and competitions.
