Greg Townsend has extensive work experience in various roles related to business development, M&A, and finance. Greg started their career at DuPont in 1991 as a Product Manager, where they successfully increased sales and improved earnings for specialty ethylene copolymer product lines. Greg then moved on to become a Global Financial Manager, where they provided financial leadership to operating business managers and led strategic planning for the company's Ethylene Copolymers and Vinyls businesses. Greg also held the position of Associate Director of Commercial Development, Licensing, where they led the licensing program for a patented biotechnology that generated significant revenue for DuPont. Greg later became a Venture Portfolio Manager, overseeing equity investments in technology-based startups and negotiating co-development rights for a minority equity investment in a private biotech company. Greg's most recent role was at The Chemours Company as a Business Development Director, where they sold former operating sites for redevelopment, managed remaining sites, and developed strategies for transitioning them to new owners. Throughout their career, Greg has consistently achieved impressive results and demonstrated strong leadership skills.
Greg Townsend has an MBA from The Wharton School with a focus on Business and Finance. Greg also has an MS in Chemical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Delaware. In addition to their degrees, Greg holds certifications as a Registered Professional Engineer in Delaware and has a Real Estate License from the State of New Jersey. Greg has also obtained a Six Sigma Black Belt Certification.
