Michael Williams

Michael Williams is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in child welfare and social services. As the Policy Director at the Child Abuse Prevention Center since February 2017, Williams leads policy advocacy efforts and collaborates with lobbyists to enhance family support in California. Previously, as the Deputy Director for Programs at the Children's Council of San Francisco, Williams managed a $70M budget and fostered relationships with government and community funders. Other roles include Community Programs Supervisor at Casey Family Programs and Area Director at Contra Costa Child Care Council. Williams also served as an instructor at the College of Alameda and held leadership positions at United Cerebral Palsy. Educational qualifications include a BS in Psychology from Santa Clara University and an MSW in Social Work from San Francisco State University.
