Richard Callado, NP, is a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner with more than a decade of experience in the mental health field. He graduated with honors from CUNY Hunter College and has passed the “Master Psychopharmacologist” exam by the Neuroscience Educational Institute. He completed his psychiatry rotations at NYU Hospital working with the chronically and severely ill patient population. He has extensive experience working in inpatient psychiatry, emergency psychiatry, and outpatient psychiatry at the various Child Center wellness centers. He is currently the lead prescriber on The Child Center’s OnTrackNY team, specializing in the treatment of first-episode psychosis. He is also an associate clinical professor at Pace University teaching Psychiatry. As Vice President of Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners, he leads the prescriber team with emphasis on evidence-based practice focused on recovery and client satisfaction.
