Abdul Tariq

Abdul Tariq, Ph.D., serves as the Associate Vice President of Data Science at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, beginning in November 2023. Previously, Abdul Tariq held the position of Director of Artificial Intelligence at Geisinger, where leadership of a team focused on deploying machine learning algorithms led to national recognition in prestigious competitions. At New York-Presbyterian Hospital, Abdul Tariq was Program Director for Research Science in the Value Institute, emphasizing computational medicine and health economics. Early career experiences include fellowships at Insight Data Science and positions at RAND Corporation, where significant contributions were made in healthcare policy analysis and economic modeling. Abdul Tariq's academic credentials include a BS in Chemistry and Physics from Caltech and a Ph.D. in Economics and Public Policy from the Pardee RAND Graduate School.
