James Morrissey

Managing Director, HR Services at The CIP

James Morrissey is currently the Managing Director of HR Services at The CIP. James has previously worked as the Senior Human Resources Business Partner at Oasis Outsourcing from November 2011 to June 2019 and as the Director of Human Resources at Watertown Public Schools from October 2001 to July 2010.

At Oasis Outsourcing, James was responsible for advising on multiple initiatives, maximizing HR programs and cycles, and recommending solutions to complex employee relations and HR issues. In a period of significant organizational change, they built HR infrastructure, deliverables and organization practice.

At Watertown Public Schools, James successfully negotiated benefits plan design changes, and employee premium contribution rates, saving the town approximately $1MM in benefits cost through relationship building and partnering. James was also key in recruitment and selection of all district leadership positions and provided leadership and partnership with other district leaders in community building and support.

James Morrissey has a MBA from Fitchburg State University in Business Administration, a BA from Framingham State University in Psychology in the Workplace, and a MA from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in Industrial and Labor Relations. James is also certified from the Massachusetts Division of Insurance Licensing in Insurance Agent (Health, Life, Property, Casualty), HRCI in PHR, and SHRM in SHRM-CP. Lastly, they are certified from the Massachusetts Department of Elementary & Secondary Education in Superintendent/Assistant Superintendent.
