Abin Sajan

Abin Sajan has had a diverse work experience. In 2012, they worked as a Research Assistant in Electrochemistry at the City University of New York, focusing on studying redox and complexation reactions. In 2013, they became a Colin Powell Fellow at the Colin Powell School for Civic and Global Leadership, where they gained knowledge about political institutions, policy-making processes, and public service careers. Abin also worked as a volunteer Emergency Medical Technician at Volunteer Emergency Services, responding to emergency calls and providing immediate care. Additionally, they had a role as a Clinical Researcher at New York Methodist Hospital for a brief period in 2013. Abin's most recent role was with The City Tutors, where they served as the President and Director of Expansion, overseeing the establishment of the City Tutors Chapter at City College. Overall, Abin's work experience demonstrates their dedication to research, public service, and leadership roles.

Abin Sajan obtained a Bachelor's of Science degree in Psychology from Macaulay Honors College in the period between 2012 and 2016. This was followed by a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from the State University of New York Downstate Health Sciences University from 2016 to 2020. Prior to their college education, Abin Sajan completed their high school education at Floral Park Memorial High School from 2008 to 2012. Additionally, they obtained certifications in Emergency Medical Technician from the New York State Department of Health in July 2013, and in Healthcare Provider CPR & AED from the Emergency Care and Safety Institute in April 2013.
