Samantha Montañez

Samantha (Sam) Montañez is the Development & Gift Planning Coordinator. In her position, Sam plays an important role in supporting and coordinating the work of the development, gift planning and legal staff on the Advancement team. Prior to her current role at the foundation, Sam served as the Public Service Fellow for Strategic Planning through the foundation’s Public Service Fellow Program. Within this role, she was charged with leading the research into community and national private foundation board and staff grant approval levels and processes, lead the development and creation of Cleveland Foundation departmental scorecards used to track progress against key strategic goals, and conducted research related to BIPOC-led grantmaking in the Environment grantmaking portfolio.
