The role

The Finance Assistant will be responsible for supporting the finance team in managing and developing the financial side of a privately owned and fast growing company.

The business has a differentiated product offering, enabling deep insight into client relationships, and is well placed and well-resourced to grow significantly in a market with favourable dynamics.

We are scaling and highly profitable. The newly formed Group Leadership Team (including active founding team) are targeting strong growth following PE investment whilst retaining the positive culture that has been the foundation of our success.

What you will be doing:

• Ownership of the Purchase Ledger

  • Accurate processing of all invoices, staff expenses and petty cash for all locations
  • Fortnightly payment run
  • Reconciliation of supplier accounts

• Ownership of Collections process

  • Assist in raising and validating sales invoices
  • Working with customers to ensure swift settlement of balances

• Ensure all month end processes are completed on time

• Bank reconciliation

• Assist in preparation for audit

• Assist in any internal project for improvement of financial duties

• Support the team in the set up and delivery of financial targets

• Prepare ad-hoc financial analysis to support the team

Security

• Comply with all aspects of our security policies, taking personal responsibility for the security of your own, the company’s and our clients’ data

What you will need:

• Proactive, self-starter who has a strong work ethic and the ability to work under pressure in a small collaborative environment

• Experience with Xero accounting system

• Proven experience in a fast moving finance team

• Organised, clear and detail-orientated

• Ability to challenge our current way of working to ensure that there are continual improvements to the way finance works and supports the business
