Matthew Brown

Matthew Brown has a diverse work experience spanning over many years. Matthew began their career as a Chef de Partie at Mark Warner - Les Rond Point des Pistes from December 2007 to April 2009. Matthew then worked at Shipleys LLP as an Audit Supervisor from August 2009 to September 2014. In this role, they supervised audits and accounts preparations for clients across various industries and also performed due diligence engagements.

Matthew went on to work at NPW as the Head of Group Finance from October 2014 to August 2016. Matthew was responsible for managing the finance teams in the UK and US and acted as the key finance representative within the Senior Management Team. Matthew implemented financial reporting timetables, prepared financial information, and presented the finance pack at monthly board meetings.

Following their role at NPW, Matthew joined Vivona Brands as a Finance Director from September 2016 to August 2020. Matthew had ultimate responsibility for the finance and accounting functions of the company, including budget preparation, financial reporting, and overseeing accounting procedures. Matthew also led the financial work streams on the Private Equity exit process.

Most recently, Matthew became the Chief Financial Officer at The Coconut Collab in September 2020.

Matthew Brown attended the University of Exeter from 2004 to 2007, where they earned a 2:1 degree in Mathematics with Finance. In August 2012, they obtained the ACA certification from ICAEW.
