Andrew MacDonald

Andrew MacDonald is a seasoned legal professional and military veteran with extensive experience in government and private practice. Currently serving as an Assistant Attorney General for the Commonwealth of Virginia since February 2023, Andrew's previous roles include self-employment as an attorney from May 2021 to March 2023, and several leadership positions within the Department of Homeland Security, including Senior Program Manager for the Science and Technology Directorate and Special ICE Trial Attorney with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Andrew's military career spanned from 1982 to 2001, culminating in roles such as Military Officer and Non Commissioned Officer with the U.S. Army. Andrew holds a Juris Doctor from American University Washington College of Law, a Master of Arts in National Security and Strategy from U.S. Naval War College, and a Master of Science in Business Administration from Troy University.
