Cheryl Cooper

Cheryl Cooper has extensive experience in asset management and property management, currently serving as Asset Manager at The Community Builders, Inc. since April 2022. Previously, Cheryl held the position of Vice President of Property Management for the Midwest Region at INTERSTATE REALTY MANAGEMENT CO from June 2017 to September 2021. Cheryl's expertise also includes managing loan modifications and other financial activities impacting affordable housing as a Special Assets Manager at the Illinois Housing Development Authority from May 2016 to June 2017, and directing asset management for mixed-income housing at the Chicago Housing Authority from February 2006 to May 2016. Earlier in Cheryl's career, an Asset Manager role was held at the National Equity Fund from 2001 to 2005. Cheryl holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Dominican University and a Master's degree in Human Services Administration from the Spertus Institute for Jewish Learning and Leadership.
