Joseph Mooney

Joseph Mooney was appointed the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer (COO/CFO) in January 2019 by Connecticut Hospice, Inc. (CT Hospice). Recently retired after serving many years as Deputy Commissioner for the State of CT Department of Revenue Services, Mr. Mooney is a seasoned financial executive with over forty years of experience in government and the private sector. In addition to business consulting experience, he served as the Financial Vice President for Owens, Renz & Lee Corp, a shoreline Connecticut commercial real estate, construction and property management company. He is a Certified Global Management Accountant Member AICPA, CGMA, CTCPA.

An active community leader, Mr. Mooney joined the Branford, CT Board of Finance in 1996, and has served as its Chairman since 2002. He is also involved with local and regional non-profit organizations including the Stony Creek Fife & Drum Corps and the Company of Fifers and Drummers.
