Marianne Smith Edge is a seasoned expert in food, nutrition, and agriculture issues, with a career spanning several prominent roles. As the Founder and Principal of The AgriNutrition Edge since September 2016, Marianne provides strategic counsel to the food and agriculture industries, focusing on consumer dialogue and research interpretation. Prior to this, Marianne served as a Senior Associate at The Context Network and spent over six years at the International Food Information Council Foundation. Here, Marianne held positions including Senior Advisor of Science & Consumer Insights and Senior Vice President of Nutrition & Food Safety Communications, directing consumer research and public communications on health and nutrition. Earlier experience includes a role as a Visiting Professor at the University of Kentucky College of Human Environmental Sciences and as President of MSE & Associates, LLC, offering nutrition communication and marketing consulting. Marianne holds a Bachelor's Degree in Dietetics from the University of Kentucky and a Master's Degree in Public Health/Nutrition from Western Kentucky University.
