Deon Gouws is a seasoned investment executive with extensive experience in managing substantial portfolios and leading investment teams across various financial institutions. Currently serving as Chief Investment Officer at Credo Group UK since March 2012, Gouws oversees a portfolio of £4.5 billion in assets. Prior roles include CEO and Director at RMB Asset Management, where Gouws managed £15 billion in client assets and led a 250-member team across South Africa and London. At Sanlam Group, Gouws was Executive Director and Chief Investment Officer, overseeing approximately $5 billion in global assets. Gouws also held key positions at Old Mutual Asset Managers, Brait Asset Managers, and served as the Chairman of the Department of Accountancy at the University of Johannesburg. Gouws is a qualified Chartered Accountant and holds an M.Phil. in Finance from the University of Cambridge and an M.Com in Accountancy from the University of Johannesburg.
