Geoffrey Ingersoll has extensive work experience in media and journalism. Geoffrey began their career in 2011 as a Web Producer and Media Specialist at New York University. Geoffrey then worked as a Researcher for Storyville, a Video Production Assistant for the New York Daily News, a Researcher for Special Investigations and Documentary at CNN, a Freelance Correspondent for Operation Enduring Freedom, a Freelance Video and Photographer for 5Spot Media, a Defense Editor for Business Insider, a Managing Editor for the Marine Corps Times, and a Managing Editor and Fellowship Director for The Daily Caller News Foundation. In 2017, they became the Editor In Chief of The Daily Caller. During their time at The Daily Caller News Foundation, they managed a fellowship program that trained and helped place new right-of-center reporters in wider media, and they grew the staff from 10 to 50 employees.
Geoffrey Ingersoll obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Pennsylvania State University in 2004, and a Master's degree in News and Documentary from New York University in 2012.
