Jacob Slabosz

Jacob Slabosz serves as the Editor-in-Chief at The Daily Illini since August 2022, where innovative use of Google Apps Script and JavaScript has enhanced content planning and team productivity through automation. Previous roles at The Daily Illini include Managing Editor for Visuals, overseeing a team of over 75 staff, and Photo Editor, managing approximately 20 photographers. Jacob also holds the position of Vice President at Flashpoint Photography and serves as Event Coordinator. Additionally, Jacob works as a Sales Advisor at Best Buy, specializing in Apple computing solutions. Jacob is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, expected to graduate in 2026, following a high school diploma from Antioch Community High School in 2022.
