Jessie W. currently serves as the Assistant News Editor and a Staff Writer at The Daily Illini, continuing since August 2022. Prior experience includes a Software Engineer Intern role at JPMorgan Chase & Co. during the summer of 2023 and Co Director at Youth Water Initiative from August 2021 to August 2023, where Jessie led fundraising efforts and contributed to web and graphic design, raising over $13,000 for solar and water systems in Navajo Nation. Additional experience as a Software Developer at the Disruption Lab at Gies involved developing a student-recruiter matching platform utilizing Blockchain technology. Jessie has also worked as a Consultant with Illinois Students Consulting for Nonprofit Organizations, enhancing skills in research and data analysis. Education includes a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Philosophy from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, expected to be completed in 2025, and a High School Diploma from Hinsdale Central High School.
