Derek Wong

Derek Wong is an experienced video producer and editor currently working with the Mind Your Brain Foundation and The Daily Pennsylvanian, Inc. Since April 2024, Derek has produced video series focused on traumatic brain injury (TBI) survivors and their recovery resources, while receiving a 2024 grant for TBI research at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. At The Daily Pennsylvanian, Derek revitalized the video department, directed various publications' content, and co-led a multimedia team of over 30 staffers. Derek also serves as a researcher at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, studying TBI effects on sleep behavior in mice, and is a music beat writer for 34th Street Magazine. Derek has previous experience interning for State Senator José Menéndez, managing social media for Nobo Robotics, and working as a lifeguard. Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree at the University of Pennsylvania, Derek's educational background includes attendance at the Keystone School and participation in the Yale Young Global Scholars program.
