Bill Chinn

Bill Chinn is the current CEO at The DEC Network. Prior to their current position, Chinn served as the President of Big Brothers Big Sisters Lone Star from June 2016 to August 2019. Chinn was recruited to improve organizational operations, processes, and culture after the organization began experiencing significant financial trouble.

During their time as president, Chinn led a team of 60 paid staff and volunteers. Bill also spearhead cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship for a portfolio of 2,000+ corporate partners, individual donors, grants, and special events. Additionally, they fostered a donor-centric culture that values creativity in building partnerships and leveraging resources to facilitate organizational objectives.

Under Chinn's leadership, the organization saw an increase in engagement and revenue across each fundraising channel. Bill also drove financial sustainability through corporate memberships, sponsorship opportunities, and working closely with the corporate community. Some of their notable achievements include initiating and building the development team that became the organization’s #1 highest-performing team and leading the funding increase of 121% ($2 Million) and donor increase of 380% (900+).

Bill Chinn received their MBA in finance from Southern Methodist University and their Bachelor's degree in communications from the University of Iowa.
