Stephen Bluestein

Managing Director, Investments at The David and Lucile Packard Foundation

Stephen Bluestein has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Stephen is currently the Managing Director of Investments at The David and Lucile Packard Foundation since January 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Light Street Capital as a Partner from 2014 to 2021. From 2010 to 2014, they were a Vice President at Technology Crossover Ventures, where they focused on investments in companies such as Sitecore and Siteminder. Stephen also had a tenure as a Vice President at Bessemer Venture Partners from 2007 to 2010. Before entering the investment industry, Stephen worked as an Associate in Investment Banking at Citigroup from 2005 to 2007. Stephen started their career as a Consultant at Mars and Co from 2000 to 2003 and had a summer internship at IBM in 1999, where they worked in the SiGe Research Group.

Stephen Bluestein has an MBA from Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management, with a focus on Finance, Entrepreneurship, and Strategy. Stephen also has a Master of Science degree in Materials Science and Engineering from Stanford University, as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Tufts University.
