Nitya Talreja, MPH

Nitya Talreja, MPH has a diverse work experience spanning various fields including public health, nutrition, research, and academia. In 2016, they worked as a Data Collection Assistant at the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine, where they assisted in data collection and routine maintenance of testing facilities. From 2019 to 2020, Talreja worked as an Oncology Research Assistant at the Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey, conducting cell cultures with an Epidemiologist and M.D. In 2020, they served as an Epidemiology Research Assistant at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. Talreja then pursued their Master of Public Health (MPH) degree and in 2022, they completed a Summer Practicum and worked as a Long-COVID Research Assistant at Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health - Department of Epidemiology.

In 2020, Talreja joined Satya Nutrition, where they held multiple roles including Marketing Team Member, Business Operations Team Lead, and ultimately became the Co-Director. Their accomplishments at Satya Nutrition include raising $17,000 USD for grant applications and marketing campaigns and managing team members for a non-profit organization focused on promoting physical and neurocognitive recovery from severe acute malnutrition in infants. Nitya also maintained a partnership with a clinical researcher in Pakistan to conduct a clinical trial evaluating energy-dense paste.

In 2023, Talreja worked as an Analyst at The Dedham Group and as an Account Executive Intern at BGB Group. Overall, they have demonstrated their expertise in various areas of public health, research, and non-profit management.

Nitya Talreja, MPH has a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree in Epidemiology from Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from Brandeis University. Their studies at Brandeis University focused on Biology, Health: Science Society and Policy (HSSP), and Medical Anthropology. Nitya Talreja also holds a High School Diploma from The Peddie School.
