**Position Summary: ** We’re growing and are seeking an independent management consultant who is looking to gain additional and valuable hands-on experience. Your time is yours to control and therefore we greatly value your time and experience. Depending on the project, you’ll work alongside one of the senior consultants responsible for leading the engagement where you’ll apply and develop your analytical, interpersonal, and creative thinking from day one. You will most likely be assigned specific tasks that may include performing desktop research, reading reports, or conducting qualitative research with key opinion leaders, competitors, suppliers, and industry specialists. Our ideal candidate will have had a solid academic record, worked a minimum of two years at a consulting firm in the life sciences, and be extremely adept and engaged in digital marketing and social media. The Deerborne Group employees, contractors, and advisers are all currently working remotely, and our expectation is that most of the work will continue to be done remotely through at least mid-2022. Occasional travel may be required depending on the client and engagement. Although the position is currently 100% remote due to the pandemic, applicants should live in San Diego, CA.
**Responsibilities: ** • Gather and organize information, conduct primary and secondary research, related to the engagement that must be solved or improved. • Analyze data, including financial reports and budgets, and develop solutions or alternatives to current state. • Identify best practices, document, and assess performance measurements, recommend business and technology solutions to streamline processes. • Formulate and define strategies, business processes, system scope, and objectives for assigned projects and be prepared to present findings to the case team members and client stakeholders.

**Required: ** • Must possess a bachelor’s degree in business or preferably the life sciences (MBA is a plus). • Possess a strong academic track record from a reputable university (minimum GPA of 3.4). • Must have 2 years minimum experience working in a consulting firm in the life sciences. • Demonstrated maturity and initiative, detail-oriented, and ability to work independently and remotely. • Must be comfortable working in ambiguous, ever-changing situations. • Must possess strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills as well as interpersonal, verbal, organizational, and writing skills. • Extensive demonstrated experience using social media platforms (e.g. Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc). Experience using CRM’s is a plus (e.g. Salesforce, HubSpot, etc). • Must have a comprehensive working knowledge of frequently used personal computer programs and applications, such as, e-mail, Microsoft Office (e.g., word, excel, PowerPoint), etc. • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now, or at any time in the future.
