Ann Smith

Head Of Human Resources at THE DESIGN MUSEUM

Ann Smith has over three decades of experience in human resources, starting as an HR Manager at the Crown Prosecution Service in 1990. Ann then worked as an HR Consultant at the Office of Government Commerce, where they implemented appraisal systems and facilitated organizational restructuring. From 2006 to 2012, they served as the Head of Human Resources at the National Lottery Commission, managing HR services and developing stakeholder relationships. Since 2013, Ann has been the Head of Human Resources at the Design Museum, leading HR strategies and projects, including relocation and post-pandemic recovery plans.

Ann Smith completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Law and History from the University of Kent in 1989. Ann then went on to pursue a Masters Degree in Human Resources Management/Personnel Administration, General at the University of Westminster from 1997 to 1999.
