Kay Castolene

Associate Vice President, Child and Family Services at The Dimock Center

Kay Castolene has extensive work experience in the field of child and family services. Kay started their career as a Camp Counselor at Camp Nejeda Foundation from 1994 to 1995.

In 2005, Kay joined Bright Horizons as a Teacher and later transitioned to the role of Education Coordinator in 2007. Kay then served as a Center Director from 2008 to 2011 and again from 2011 to 2013. Kay'sfinal role at Bright Horizons was as a Center Director from 2013 to 2016.

Kay then moved to the Dimock Center in 2016 as the Family and Community Engagement Manager. In September 2019, they were promoted to the role of Associate Vice President, Child and Family Services, which they currently hold.

Kay Castolene earned a Master's Degree in Educational Studies from Wheelock College, completing their studies from 2012 to 2015. Before that, they obtained a Graduate Certificate in Parent Education from the same college in 2012. Prior to that, they attended Lesley University from 2007 to 2009, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Studies with a specialization in Early Education. Additionally, Kay holds several certifications, including Director II, Director I, Lead Teacher PS, Lead Teacher Infant/Toddler from the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care, a Growing Great Kids Tier I Certificate from Great Kids Inc, a Teaching Pyramid Infant-Toddler Observation Scale Certified Observer designation from Teachstone, a Teaching Pyramid Observation Tool for Pre-School Classrooms (TPOT) Reliable Observer certification from Teachstone, and a Touchpoints Individual and Community Level Certification from Brazleton Touchpoints Center.
