Alexandra Valladares

Director, Community Collaborations at East Coast Migrant Head Start Project

Alexandra Valladares, MS, joins ECMHSP as the Director of Community Collaborations, reporting directly to the Chief of Staff. Alexandra will lead a team to design and coordinate the agency-wide Community Assessment per the Office of Head Start Parent, Family, and Community Engagement Framework. Her work informs the strategic planning, goal setting, and decision-making of East Coast Migrant Head Start.

Alexandra has extensive experience as a community organizer, educator, researcher, and advocate. Her passion is to tend to the ecosystem of relationships that underpin the social realities of underserved communities and promote parents' educational advancement, economic mobility, and other aspects of family well-being. She supports regions in developing and maintaining partnerships and collaborations to provide culturally and linguistically responsive services and helpful resources for families.

Alexandra earned both her Master's and Bachelor's degrees in Science at North Carolina Central University. She serves on the Durham Board of Education and represents ECMHSP at the national level with migrant advocacy and other groups as requested.
