Richard Chao

Richard Chao has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Richard started as a Sponsorship Executive at Enactus UBC in 2013 and then worked as a Business Analyst at BlackBerry in 2015. In 2016, they joined Appnovation Technologies as a Project Coordinator and later became a Systems Analyst. Richard then moved on to Agreement Express in 2017, where they initially worked as a Project Coordinator and later became a Project Manager. In 2018, Richard became an IT Consultant at IT Directorship before joining Pacific Blue Cross in 2021 as an IT Project Manager. In 2022, they joined airG Inc. as a Project Manager until 2023 when they were hired as a Delivery Lead at The Economist.

Richard Chao has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from The University of British Columbia, with a focus on Management Information Systems. Richard later pursued a dual specialization in Operations & Logistics and Business Technology Management at UBC Sauder School of Business from 2012 to 2017. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications including Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Certified SAFe® 5 Agilist, and Certified SAFe® 5 Lean Portfolio Manager from Scrum Alliance and Scaled Agile, Inc.
