Lead Product Designer at The Economist

Roger Swindale has a varied work experience in the field of design. Roger started their career in 2011 as a Graphic Designer at St Bride Foundation. Roger then worked as a Graphic Designer at Doha Film Institute in 2012 and later at Scott Brownrigg as a Graphics Coordinator in 2013. In the same year, they also worked as a Consultant at Oxford University Press. In 2013, they rejoined Doha Film Institute as a Graphic Designer. In 2014, they joined outré creative as a Junior Designer and was promoted to Midweight and then Senior Designer. Since 2019, they have been working at The Economist, starting as a Digital Designer and progressing to Senior and then Lead Product Designer.

Roger Swindale attended the University of Reading from 2009 to 2012, where they obtained a BA degree in Graphic Communication. Prior to that, from 2007 to 2009, they completed their A-Levels at Wells Blue School, studying Applied Business, Computing, and Design & Technology. Before that, from 2003 to 2007, Roger attended Wells Blue School, where they completed their GCSEs in various subjects, including Maths, English, Science, Design & Technology, History, Geography, ICT, and Citizenship.
