Tory Barnes has a strong background in user experience (UX) design and editorial work. They started their career as a Junior UX Designer at W. W. Norton & Company in 2016 and worked their way up to become an Associate Director of UX in 2022. Prior to their current role, Tory held positions as a UX Design Lead, Senior UX Designer, and UX Designer at W. W. Norton & Company. In 2012, Tory worked as an Editorial Assistant at Pearson Education.
Tory Barnes completed their education in a chronological order, starting from high school and continuing to college. From 2005 to 2008, Tory attended Bronxville High School, where they did not earn a degree or specify a field of study. Subsequently, from 2008 to 2012, they attended Skidmore College, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts degree with Cum Laude honors. At Skidmore College, Tory studied Art History and Italian. After a gap in education, in 2015, Tory attended General Assembly for a short period, but did not earn a degree. However, they did participate in the User Experience Design Immersive program.
