Nanayaa Bates

Nanayaa Bates has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Nanayaa is currently working as a Business Development Manager at The Electrospinning Company Ltd since January 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Consultant at Ayewa Labs starting from January 2018. Before that, they were a Research and Development Consultant at Occlutech starting from June 2016. Nanayaa also had a previous stint at The Electrospinning Company Ltd as a Senior Research & Development Scientist from February 2014 to April 2016. Nanayaa's earlier roles include being a Material Scientist/Engineer at Xeltis from September 2012 to November 2013 and a Researcher at Queen Mary, University of London from August 2009 to August 2013. Nanayaa started their career as an intern at Inno Biologics Sdn Bhd from July 2008 to September 2008.

Nanayaa Bates earned their Bachelor's degree in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from the University of Miami between 2002 and 2006. Nanayaa then pursued further studies at Queen Mary University of London, where they obtained a Master's degree in Materials Engineering from 2007 to 2009. Following this, Nanayaa completed their education at Queen Mary, U. of London, earning a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biomaterials, which spanned from 2009 to 2013.
