After qualifying as a physiologist, Matt Parker spent the first four years of his career at the EIS working with a wide range of Olympic sports.
He joined British Cycling in 2006, coaching athletes to gold medal performances at the Beijing 2008 Olympics, before taking on the role of Head of Marginal Gains for the London 2012 Olympic cycle.
Post-London, Matt spent three years as Head of Athletic Performance at the Rugby Football Union (RFU) before returning to the EIS in March 2016, initially as the Interim Strategic Lead for Research and Innovation and now as Director of Performance Innovation.
