Thomas Mack

CEO at Eyak Corporation

Thomas Mack is the Chief Executive Officer of The Eyak Corporation (TEC) as of March 2022. Prior to joining TEC, Mr. Mack was the President and then President & CEO of an Alaska Native Regional Corporation since 2006.

In his new role as CEO of The Eyak Corporation, Mr. Mack is responsible for delivering on TEC’s mission to return financial benefits to present and future shareholders through the development of economic opportunities and growth of assets while protecting the ownership of ANCSA lands and Native cultural heritage. He actively promotes TEC’s positions on culture, education, and economic development issues. He conveys policy recommendations to government and community leaders on TEC-related legislation and policy issues.

Thomas Mack is an Aleut and was raised in King Cove, which is located on the tip of the Alaska Peninsula.

Mr. Mack attended the University of Nevada-Las Vegas and the University of Alaska-Anchorage where he acquired a Bachelor of Education degree. During his high school and undergraduate years, he spent the summer months commercial salmon fishing on his father’s boat.

Mr. Mack also holds a Master of Science degree from Western Oregon University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Alaska Pacific University. He also has completed two Executive Education Programs in Leadership at Stanford University; one at the University of Chicago Booth and two at Harvard University.

Mr. Mack was a Top 40 Under 40 recipient in 2009 in Alaska.

Mr. Mack is on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee for the Resource Development Council for Alaska, and a Vice-Chair for the Arctic Economic Council.
